About

L. Cohen Tax & Accounting, LLC is an independent tax practice based in West Bloomfield, Michigan, serving a wide range of clients: individuals, small business owners, trustees, companies with U.S. filing obligations, and individuals with U.S. filing obligations living outside the country.

Clients work directly with the person preparing their return. Questions get answered by someone who knows the file, and every return is reviewed before it goes out the door.

The practice serves clients in all 50 states, as well as U.S. filers living abroad.

How It Works

1

Reach Out

Send a note through the contact form below with a sentence or two about your situation.

2

Prepare & Review

Your return is prepared and sent to you for review. Once it looks right, you sign.

3

File

Your return is filed, and you receive a complete copy for your records.

E-Filing & Payment Options

Where the IRS or state allows it, returns can be e-filed on your behalf after you sign a form authorizing it, so in most cases nothing has to be mailed.

Where electronic payment is accepted, taxes and quarterly estimated payments can be drawn directly from your account, and refunds can be deposited directly into it. The IRS and each state set their own rules, so these options are not always available. Either way, nothing is automatic without your say: paper checks and mailed returns always work too.
